MILWAUKEE –October 28, 2021– Quest CE, premier provider of compliance training and tracking technology solutions, today announced that it has been approved by Prometric, on behalf of the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA), to offer investment adviser representative continuing education (IAR CE).
Adopted last year, NASAA’s model rule requires IARs to complete 12 credits of continuing education on an annual basis in jurisdictions that choose to adopt the model rule. Of the 12 credits that must be completed, six (6) of those need to cover Products and Practice Content and six (6) need to cover Regulatory and Ethics Content. Content can only be offered by an Authorized Provider. The IAR CE requirement takes effect January 1, 2022, when the first states implement the model rule.
Come January, affected IARs will be able to easily access and complete their continuing education through Quest CE’s retail website. Additionally, firms will have the option to create a continuing education program on behalf of their advisers to track credit reporting. These firm-sponsored programs can be combined with other continuing education and compliance management services.

To become an authorized provider, companies are evaluated based on several key criteria, including professional experience; program management capabilities, course curriculum, course upkeep, environment and infrastructure, and learning management registration and attendance policies.
