California Requirements

California requires employers with five or more employees to provide mandatory anti-harassment training every two years. This training is one hour for nonsupervisory employees and two hours for supervisors, and must cover sexual harassment, abusive conduct, and harassment based on gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation. New hires must receive training within six months of being hired. Employers must maintain records of all training for at least two years.

  • CA Employee Training on Sexual Harassment and Workplace Conduct (1 hr.) provides employees with essential knowledge to recognize, prevent, and respond to sexual harassment as well as other forms of workplace harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. Participants learn how to identify inappropriate conduct, support colleagues, and use internal and external reporting channels with confidence. Through interactive scenarios and practical examples, the course emphasizes the daily role employees play in building a culture of respect, inclusion, and professionalism.
  • CA Supervisor Training on Sexual Harassment and Workplace Conduct (2 hr.) equips California supervisors with essential knowledge to recognize, prevent, and respond to sexual harassment as well as other forms of workplace harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. Participants learn how to take immediate and appropriate corrective action, handle complaints effectively, and prevent retaliation. Through interactive scenarios and practical examples, the course highlights the critical role supervisors play in modeling respect, enforcing policies, and fostering a culture of inclusion and accountability.
