QuestTrak is the perfect tool for organizing, managing, implementing, and tracking all things related to your firm’s continuing education (CE) program. However, like your home, your account may need a good “spring cleaning” every now-and-again. Not only that, but this time of year is perfect for getting your account prepped for any upcoming CE events.

To give you a little push to get started, we’ve complied a list of tips and tricks you can use to get your CE program cleaned-up and ready to go in 2021.

Dust Off Old Content

Before filing new course content, it pays to take the time to clean-up any inactive courses in your account. Why? Because removing inactive courses will save you the headache of having to explain why the course isn’t available to other administrators or instructors who are attempting to use them. It also ensures your team is only using the most up-to-date content.

Out with the Old

Similarly, you’ll also want to sort through all the instructors in your account and see if any need to be retired. This practice not only helps keep your account free and clear of inaccurate data, but it will give you a more exact read on your firm’s most active instructors at the end of the year. You may also even end up saving your firm a few bucks by avoiding the cost that comes with renewing old instructors that are no longer active.

Stay Ahead of Your Events

A big part of running a successful CE program involves getting new courses and instructors approved ahead of time. Since each state and designation board has their own rules and filing requirements, it’s recommended that you give yourself plenty of leeway to get your courses/instructors approved prior to scheduling any CE events. Login to your QuestTrak account if you need a refresher on what the notification requirements are for each state/designation board.

Prepare for the Return of Classroom-CE

Virtual CE events took the cake in 2020, but we have reason to believe that Classroom-CE will make a comeback in the later part of 2021. As an ever-popular delivery method, you’ll need to start thinking about dates, locations, etc. If you’re thinking about adding Classroom CE back into your Q3/Q4 strategy, now is the time to begin thinking about what content should be filed. If you’re already filing a course for Webinar CE credit, might as well consider filing it for Classroom CE credit, as well!
